Our Team

Sharon is currently performing dual roles as a project manager and a business analyst at FAST. Sharon brings expertise in process reengineering, risk management and IT consultancy. Prior to FAST, Sharon was a Vice President in the information technology group of J.P. Morgan, where she focused on security, data integrity and information risk. Sharon started her career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) where she consulted large telecom companies such as AT&T, SNET and NYNEX in information systems development. Sharon has a BS in Computer Science from Boston College.

In her spare time, Sharon captures the momentum, joy, spirit and grit of games as a professional photographer.

Mike is currently focused on building a next generation agent administration and commission management system. Mike has fifteen years experience designing and implementing mission critical solutions. Prior to FAST, Mike spent nine years as an implementation lead at NaviSys supporting multiple life insurance clients, including: Security Benefit Group, Conseco, Baltimore Life, Prudential and Western Southern. Earlier in his career, Mike spent six years at Prudential building and implementing enterprise-wide tax compliance systems for life and annuity operations.

Mike enjoys mountain biking, running and spending time with his wife and daughter.

In addition to leading human resources at FAST, Steve provides deep operational expertise in a number of areas. Steve has more than 20 years HR experience in diverse industries. Prior to FAST, Steve spent 7 years as an HR Director for NaviSys/Accenture. At NaviSys, Steve was accountable for all HR, payroll and facilities. After the Accenture acquisition, Steve helped drive the integration of NaviSys employees into the new organizational model.

Earlier in his career, Steve was the HR Director for a marketing and promotions company. Steve also directed the HR efforts for a defense contractor which produced electro-mechanical assemblies.

Steve enjoys sports photography and boutique acoustic guitars.

Bob has over twenty-five years of experience in the life insurance industry in both consulting firm and insurance company settings. His expertise includes product design and pricing, product implementation, illustration and administration system development, and insurance product tax compliance. Prior to joining FAST, Bob held the position of consulting actuary and partner at the Norton Consulting Group as well as officer-level positions at several large life insurers including New York Life and Mutual of New York. As a consultant, Bob spent twelve years providing product expertise to insurance company clients with a focus on design, implementation, and delivery of product functionality including extensive tax compliance logic. He has worked with all types of domestic insurance products and in several international markets including the UK and Asia. Bob is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Bob enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with his wife and two teenage daughters.

Cecilia has gained broad experience implementing life and annuity systems over the past fifteen years. Prior to FAST, Cecilia worked for 9 years at Hartford Life, where she focused mainly on system development and illustrations for individual and corporate clients. She also served as the liaison between the IT and business teams. Prior to Hartford, Cecilia served as an actuarial analyst for NaviSys where she implemented complex life and annuity products on the NaviSys platform. She holds a BA in Mathematics and an MS in Mathematical Finance from Rutgers.

Cecilia plays volleyball in various leagues and in her free time enjoys going to concerts and spending time with her husband.

Martin provides expertise in application architecture and design in C# at FAST. Through his work as a software architect and senior engineer at CGIForMe, Martin has designed and implemented web applications from the ground up. Before working at CGIForMe, Martin was a senior software engineer at EMC where he was involved with implementing and supporting a new architecture for a legacy system and supporting an application containing over one million lines of code. Martin graduated with bachelor's degree in applied mathematics and statistics with a minor in computer science from StonyBrook University. His research in college included working on parallel computing and molecular dynamics applications.

For fun Martin writes mathematical algorithms and develops 2d video games. His hobbies include skiing, volleyball, and Ballroom and Latin dancing.

Ravi is responsible for architecting and overseeing the FAST core product development both on-site and off-shore. Ravi was also involved in the technical design and implementation of an entire legacy system replacement for a major carrier. Prior to FAST, Ravi worked with NaviSys/Accenture for 10 years as a solutions consultant and helped implement policy administration systems. Prior to NaviSys, Ravi worked with Goldman Sachs and Infosys as a technical consultant implementing systems for Fixed Income. Ravi has more than 15 years of experience providing technical solutions to various clients including: Goldman Sachs, Met Life, Vanguard, HSBC, Nissay, Guardian Life and National Western Life.

In his spare time, Ravi enjoys running marathons and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Eric is a Senior Developer at FAST and he specializes in designing web based enterprise applications. Prior to FAST, Eric was employed for 7 1/2 years at AdminServer where he was a co-architect in the redesign of AdminServer's Policy Administration System and in the development of their first Insurance Illustration System. Eric led a team of developers during the creation and implementation of these mission-critical applications. Eric brings expertise in Agile and extreme development methodologies.

In his free time Eric likes to tinker with e-textiles and Arduino-based gadgets. He also rode a unicycle while modeling in Andrew Buckler's Fall 2007 runway show at New York's Fashion Week.

With nearly thirty years of product experience in the life and health industry, Jim's strong actuarial and technical background allows him to facilitate communication between business oriented and technically oriented project team members. Jim has worked with many clients to help them build systems that were well suited to satisfy immediate processing requirements and to serve as an adaptable foundation for robust future functionality. Jim has provided his expertise across a full spectrum of life and annuity products on domestic and international projects for insurers of all sizes including American General, HSBC, ING, John Hancock, MetLife, Securian and Security Life of Denver.

Though Jim generally suffers through a lot of frustration on the golf course, he seems to have a high tolerance for that particular form of torment.

John is a business systems analyst with 25 plus years experience in insurance and financial services.

John has been a pioneer in the development of automation solutions and data communication standards for the independent life and annuity distribution channel. After earning a BA and MA from Catholic University, John began his career as a programmer at First Colony Life Insurance Company where he later served as vice president of field automation services. He followed that with stints at GE Financial Assurance and ChannelPoint as director of independent distribution services. Prior to joining FAST, John was General Manager of BGA Services at E-Z Data.

When he is not occupied with the needs of his clients, John has plenty to keep him busy on the farm he shares with his wife and daughter in the Virginia Piedmont.

Matt is a Senior Developer at FAST, and specializes in designing web based enterprise applications. Prior to FAST, Matt worked at Oracle for several years as a Senior Applications Developer. At Oracle, he was responsible for client facing development, new feature development, data modeling and system architecture He has a received an M.S. degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Java Application and Web Development, Wireless Sensor Network Security and Database Management. Matt has over 10 year of industry experience providing technical expertise in insurance software and policy administration applications development.

In his spare time Matt enjoys going to concerts, reading, traveling and keeping up on the latest physics and mathematical research happening. He also enjoys tinkering with the latest electronic gadgets.

Don provides oversight on infrastructure design, setup, and maintenance. He is responsible for integrating third party technologies with software and systems FAST develops. Don has been in the technology field for ten years. At his previous job with Accenture, he supported an internal development and delivery automation system that supported over 150 builds for 25+ clients every night. He was also responsible for client installations and production issue resolution. Prior to Accenture, Don worked as a desktop services technician resolving hardware and software issues for Hewitt Associates.

Prior to working at FAST, Kim worked at NaviSys for over ten years, where she spent the majority of her time as a QA Lead and QA Consultant. Her clients included Prudential, Conseco, Phoenix, Penn Mutual, Mass Mutual and Bankers Life. Earlier in her career, Kim worked for Prudential Property and Casualty for 13 years, where she worked in business operations, claims processing and software quality assurance (internet and mainframe applications).

Kim is an identical twin. In her free time she loves to garden, take Zumba classes and spend time with her family.

Juan is a Senior Developer at FAST, and specializes in insurance system integration. Prior to FAST, Juan worked at Oracle for several years as a Senior Developer. At Oracle, he was responsible for integrating Oracle's Insurance Policy Administration System with clients' new and legacy systems. Earlier in his career, Juan worked for State Farm Insurance for 5 years, where he was licensed in property/casualty, life, annuities as well as Series 6 and 63 licenses for mutual funds and variable annuities. He has a received a B.S. degree in Physics from Franklin Marshall College.

Juan is an avid soccer fan and enjoys working on improving his soccer skills whenever he can.

Narayan is a technical architect at FAST. He has more than eighteen years of experience in the technology industry with eleven years in the insurance space. Narayan has been involved since the early stages of the design/development of the Fast8x framework. Prior to FAST, Narayan worked as a Development Manager at Deloitte on their Audit product. Earlier on, Narayan worked with Accenture for over nine years as Senior Integration Architect and Technical Lead. He was also involved in establishing and training the offshore team for his business unit. Narayan launched his career with Tata, spending over five years learning various technologies ranging from IBM mainframes to cutting edge Multimedia. Narayan is a certified Project Management Professional with a Masters in Computer Science.

In his leisure time Narayan loves to read fiction and spend time with his children solving puzzles and riddles.

Dave provides both project management and solution design consulting for our clients. He has more than 20 years experience providing business consulting, implementation leadership and systems integration services to life insurers including: MassMutual, Conseco, Bankers Life and Casualty, Guardian Life, Vanguard and AIG/SunAmerica. Dave worked for NaviSys/Accenture for ten years as a Principal Consultant where he focused on implementing large-scale policy administration and new business solutions as well as redefining business operations. Prior to NaviSys, Dave was a project manager at IBM and spent 8 years as a systems architect with The Copeland Companies.

Dave has four children including one graduate of and one current student at Brown, and two bright young soccer players.

Abhay is a technical lead at FAST focused on policy administration systems. Abhay worked 5 years at NaviSys/Accenture as a developer and technical lead. He was actively engaged in all stages of application development from architecture to development to performance testing and tuning. Abhay worked on larger-scale projects for multiple clients, including: Nationwide, Fidelity, TIAA/CREF and Principal. Prior to NaviSys, Abhay spent four years as a senior software engineer for Telecordia and CSG Systems. Abhay holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and Computer Engineering from University of Toronto.

Abhay enjoys playing tennis and cricket and continues his attempts to improve his golf game.

Ron is currently a project manager and senior consultant at FAST responsible for building case management and underwriting capabilities with our clients. He has more than twenty years experience implementing systems in the insurance industry. Ron worked for NaviSys/Accenture for 9 years as an implementation lead for policy administration and new business systems. His clients have included Western & Southern, Guardian and Allianz. Prior to NaviSys, Ron spent many years in Prudential's Group Insurance and Life and Disability business units as a developer, business analyst and project manager. Ron also worked as a developer supporting the sales and marketing group of Schering-Plough.

Ron enjoys spending time around anything horse related whether it be riding or handicapping races.

Rob is currently a project manager and a senior technical architect at FAST where he brings expertise in application and relational database design across various technology platforms such as .Net, C#, Java, SQL Server, Oracle & DB2. Rob has 25 years of engineering experience in multiple disciplines including technology, finance, defense, manufacturing, healthcare and retail. Prior to his association with FAST, Rob has worked in business settings from startups to Fortune 500 companies including Philip Morris, AOL Time Warner, Norden Systems, JP Morgan & the NHL

Rob has 3 boys including four year old twins and a one year old. When not busy with them, he restores muscle cars from the 60's and 70's.
